Re-opened in 2010, Europe’s largest open-air theatre has had another record breaking summer season in 2018, entertaining over 90,000 spectators and bringing world-renowned stars including Britney Spears, Elton John and Gary Barlow to the Yorkshire Coast. North Yorkshire Moors Railway 

North Yorkshire Moors Railway 

The NYMR is a heritage railway running through the North York Moors National Park and carries more passengers than any other heritage railway in the UK. Running Northbound from Pickering to Grosmont, the line also takes in the village of Goathland which was used as the fictional village Aidensfield in the popular TV series Heartbeat. Dalby Forest 

Dalby Forest 

Situated on the edge of the of the North York Moors, Dalby Forest is the perfect destination if you love outdoor activities. With miles of trails you can spend an entire day mountain biking, walking, running or having a BBQ with the family at the Dalby Activity Centre. For the more adventurous, you could also give Go Ape a try, spending 2-3 hours 30 metres up in the trees, taking on rope-course activities, stomach-churning swings and electrifying zip-lines.

Whitby is a seaside town in Yorkshire, northern England, split by the River Esk. On the East Cliff, overlooking the North Sea, the ruined Gothic Whitby Abbey was Bram Stoker’s inspiration for “Dracula”. Nearby is the Church of St. Mary, reached by 199 steps. The Captain Cook Memorial Museum, in the house where Cook once lived, displays paintings and maps
